* The Jewish artdealer and collector Jacques Goudstikker escaped from Holland early 1940 but died unfortunately on board his ship. His collections were sold to the Nazi's and are now subject to lawsuits on legal ownership. This auction-catalogue for 8 and 9 october 1940 is thus an important early document on this international art-affair. The last plate featuring item 173: Albert Neuhuys, Jonge Liefde is missing as well as the back cover.
