* Ninth publication of the Soncino-Gesellschaft der Freunde des jüdischen Buches. Limited bibliophile edition of 800 copies, signed by the artist. Jacob Steinhardt attended lessons in engraving by Herman Struck at the School of Art in Berlin in 1907. In 1933 he emigrated to Palestine. His main work consists of numerous woodcuts on Jewish and biblical subjects. The Jewish Museum in Berlin houses the largest Steinhardt collection in the world.
