* A collection of Portuguese texts in use in the Sefardic rites in the Esnoga in Amsterdam. Dr. Salomon gives an introduction and explanation to these words and sayings (pregões and saúdes) which are special to this synagoge service and in some cases have been influenced by the Spanish and Hebrew language. An audio CD is added on which the proper pronunciation is read by David Israel, parnas of the Portuguese community Sa’are Tikva in Lissabon.
